What do you use this magnet for?

Suitable for small latches and removable parts: flaps, displays, model building, sensor and electronics applications and mounting in enclosures. The rod shape fits into a drilled hole or tube and pulls with the flat end. In jewelry, it should only be concealed and not come into contact with the skin: the NiCuNi layer contains nickel. How do I install it?

Drill a hole slightly larger than 8 mm and secure the magnet with a two-component adhesive, such as UHU Plus epoxy adhesive. Do not force it in: neodymium is brittle.

Where are the poles?

At the two flat ends. The flat end pulls the strongest; the long side much less.

Is it suitable for sensors?

Yes, the rod shape is often used to switch a reed contact or Hall sensor, for example in an enclosure or door contact. Test the distance in your own setup.

How much does it hold in practice?

Approx. 2.8 kg with the flat end on thick, flat steel. With an air gap or through material, that is lower.
