Neodymium pot magnet Ø48 x 10.5 mm, grade N40, steel pot with NiCuNi coating, with drilled/countersunk hole. Holding force approx. 37 kg.
Powerful: suitable for workshop and assembly, molds and fixtures, plates and heavier objects. The steel pot concentrates the magnetic force on the flat side, making a pot magnet on steel have much more holding force than the same magnet without a pot. With the countersunk hole, you screw the magnet flush into wood, plastic or metal. Do not tighten the screw too much: the magnet material is brittle. Which pot magnet do you choose?
The holding force is measured under ideal conditions on a flat steel plate; in practice, the actual holding force is lower. Read how holding force is determined.
A screw with a flat countersunk head that fits in the countersunk hole; the dimensions are on the dimension drawing and in the datasheet. Do not tighten it too much: the magnet material is brittle.
Approx. 37 kg, pulled perpendicularly from thick, flat steel with direct contact. On thin sheet steel, through paint or with an air gap and loaded sideways, that is considerably less.
A steel plate or a steel ring Ø48 mm with countersunk hole. The thicker and flatter the steel, the more holding force.
Not as the only attachment above people or for lifting. The holding force is not an allowed working load; in practice, allow a generous margin.
Yes. Email your purchase order, then we deliver on account. Do you take a fixed number every year, then we keep stock aside for you, and for multiple pieces volume discount applies. Business ordering.
Ordered and paid before 16:00 on working days, will be shipped the same working day if in stock. Free shipping within the Netherlands from €45. Consumers have 30 days cooling-off period.
Magnets are not toys and should be out of reach of children. Keep strong magnets away from pacemakers, electronics and bank cards. Powerful magnets can snap hard against each other or against metal; keep your fingers away. The holding force is not an allowed working load: do not use magnets as the only attachment for lifting or hanging heavy loads where a fall can cause injury.
According to the data provided by the manufacturer, this product complies with the European REACH Regulation.

Neodymium magnets are very powerful and can bounce off each other and/or iron objects at high speed. The force increases as the magnet gets larger, which also increases the risk of breakage. Two of the larger magnets in our range are powerful enough to break fingers or at least cause a few large blisters.
Therefore, wear work gloves and keep magnets away from children. Also, keep Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets at a safe distance from people with pacemakers. This also applies to electronic devices and payment cards.
Neodymium magnets are still the most powerful magnets available today. Our super-strong magnets also remain magnetic virtually indefinitely, provided they are not exposed to the maximum operating temperature or are used with opposite poles.
The letters and numbers in the material coding have the following meaning: The N stands for Neodymium, the subsequent digits indicate the maximum magnetic energy expressed in MgOe. If there are no further letters after this, the magnet can be used up to 80 degrees Celsius.
If there are still letters behind it, it can reach a higher temperature.
We indicate adhesive force in grams or kilograms because this appeals to more people than Newton. The indicated force is measured perpendicular to the magnet. The adhesive force is the force required to pull a smooth, flat steel object (ST37) at least 10 millimeters thick from the magnet in question.
This force quickly diminishes when, for example, there's a gap or layer of paint between the magnet and the object. Even half a millimeter can reduce the force by half. A steel alloy or a rough surface also significantly reduces the holding force.
As mentioned, the direction of the adhesive force is perpendicular to the magnet, but the shear force is much smaller and also depends on the friction between the magnet and the object.
