What do you use this magnet for?

Powerful: suitable for workshops and assembly, molds and fixtures, plates and heavier objects. The steel pot concentrates the magnetic force on the flat front surface, giving a pot magnet on steel much more holding force than the same magnet without a pot. The rubber coating protects the surface the magnet is placed against and provides grip, so it is less likely to slide. How much does this magnet hold in practice?

Approx. 27 kg, pulled vertically from thick, flat steel. On thin sheet steel or a curved surface, it is less. Thanks to the rubber, it holds better sideways than a bare magnet, but still only a fraction of the holding force.

Does it damage paint or a sensitive surface?

No, the rubber coating prevents scratches. Keep the rubber and the surface clean, however: sand or grit underneath can still cause scratches.

How do I attach something to the threaded stud?

The M6 threaded stud protrudes from the back. Screw it into a hole with M6 threads, or insert it through a hole and secure it with an M6 nut.

How do I remove it?

Lift it by the edge so that air gets underneath. Pulling straight up requires the full holding force.
